A ground floor extension to an existing 1930's terrace house which had numerous later add-ons which had turned their back to the garden. These were all removed and replaced with a new extension which provide a light filled open plan living area with a strong connection to the garden, making it an integral part of the family home again. The design locates the new kitchen centrally with a large skylight above, allowing natural light to penetrate deep into the floor plan.

A complimentary pallet of natural materials has been chosen which balance and unify the design. A window seat allows views out towards the garden. Externally, the same colour brick to the original house was used to form a dialogue with the existing building.
